Practice makes perfect

This morning I'm back from a beautiful row in a coxed coastal four at Poole Quay. I have to admit, as a novice I'm far from perfect, but definitely improving. My cox was a good combination of helpful reminders of what to do "Heads up!" and funny comments to help us relax.
It's the same with maths. You need to learn the skills and then practice them in a fun way. I think my silly sense of humour helps my students relax too. One of my student's parents recently said:
"Amazing Anne. He is full of smiles. Always is when returning from one of your lessons."
Today I'm sharing two places you can find free predicted GCSE maths papers.
Maths Genie offer free predicted papers and answers. I like these and they seem closest to the format of the GCSE. Paper 1 is available to download now and then Paper 2 after the authors have taken a look at actual Paper 1 on Thursday 16th May, and then Paper 3 after the real Paper 2!
OnMaths are a site offering the predicted papers questions to complete online which marks them as you go. It shows your grade improving as you get more marks. I would advise still doing the working out on paper to practice recording all the steps.
If you know anyone taking GCSE's wanting some practice please feel free to tell them.
